Drones, blue lights, Big Brother? Hochul’s $127M bet on NY police tech

New blue light cameras, drones and other crime-fighting surveillance technology are on the way to Rochester and Monroe County.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has spent the last few weeks touring local police departments to highlight a $127 million investment into law enforcement technology announced last year. Monroe County police agencies received $24 million total, the largest share of any county across the state.
