Advocates raise concerns about elder treatment at Waterview Heights facility protest

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A protest was held at the Waterview Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Monday, during which advocates spoke out against the facility’s alleged abuse and mistreatment of residents.

Members of the Elder Justice Committee of Metro Justice, family members of residents, and advocates were on site with signs and chants for change.

According to organizers, over the past year, there have been reports stating residents have experienced neglect, sexual assault, and raised concerns about understaffing and treatment errors.
