Yellow Alert Thursday & Friday: Tracking soaking rain and strong winds for later this week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is now Yellow for Thursday and Friday as impactful weather is on the way. Plan on a cold, soaking rain for Thursday with a raw east wind. Rain will be beneficial in the long term but will cause issues for any outdoor plans. Totals will be roughly an inch or two through the day. At this time no widespread flooding is expected but Thursday is looking like a washout. Friday will bring more showery weather but also some stronger wind gusts near 40mph. Not anticipating widespread issues with tree damage but a few localized power outages possible. The wind and showers will impact trick-o-treating time Friday evening. Kids need to be prepared for cold winds and possible wet conditions.
