Rochester man arrested on drug charge following traffic stop in Steuben County

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) — A Rochester man was arrested on Monday after police said he was found with fentanyl during a traffic stop following a domestic dispute in a vehicle.

Anthony R. Jackson, 39, of Rochester, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 27, on the charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (class A misdemeanor), as stated in a release from the Village of Bath Police Department. During his arrest, police said they learned Jackson also had felony warrants out of the City of Rochester Police Department.

On Monday, around 12:38 p.m., officers from Bath Police, along with members from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police, were sent to the area of State Route 415 South for an erratic driver and a possible domestic incident occurring in a vehicle that was headed toward the village, the release said.

Law enforcement then found the vehicle and confronted the individuals inside, the release explained. The unidentified driver and passenger, later identified as Jackson, were said to have been arguing in the car, which resulted in erratic driving, police explained…
