ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Police have announced the arrest of a suspect of the shooting that left a 20-year-old with severe injuries on Jefferson Avenue.
On October 2, RPD officers went to the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue for the report of a man shot. They found the victim, a man in his 20s, suffering from severe head trauma and a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to the hospital, where his condition was critical before being upgraded to stable after a prolonged surgery.

Detectives, through an investigation, identified the suspect as 55-year-old Marcus Canady of Rochester. They say Canady and the victim had a history of prior issues before the shooting. Allegedly, Canady hit the victim with a revolver before shooting him.
On October 27, the U.S. Marshals Task Force located Canady leaving a house on Shelter Street, where detectives issued a search warrant, finding a .38 caliber revolver…
