Rochester Regional Health offers free genetic screening to assess cancer and heart disease risk

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Regional Health has launched a new genetic screening program, free of charge, to adults in our community.

Almost anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to take part in the screening.  You sign up online and then you will need to go to a Rochester Regional Health lab for a blood draw.

Rochester Regional is partnering with a company called Helix that will run the sample and provide the results in your My Care portal within a few weeks.  The screening looks at your hereditary risks for breast, ovarian, colon cancer and heart disease…
