Man accused of assaulting RPD officer while being put into a patrol car

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is facing charges after Rochester Police say he kicked an officer who was putting him into a patrol car.

Stephen Fuller, 50, is charged with assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and harassment. RPD says it all started when officers were responding to a domestic incident on Holworthy Street, a block from Lyell Avenue, around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say Fuller took off his shirt in the street, began yelling threats toward a victim, and was “belligerent” with officers. According to RPD, as officers were taking Fuller into the patrol car, he leaned back and kicked an officer in the face…
