‘Jammin for Jamaica’: Rochester mobilizes after Hurricane Melissa

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — This weekend, hundreds are expected to be “Jammin for Jamaica” in Rochester as part of Hurricane Melissa relief.

“Our goal is to raise $200,000,” said Dianne Neufville, the co-founder of Rochester Jamaican Organization (RJO).

In the two weeks since the Category 5 storm left a trail of destruction across the western part of Jamaica, RJO and other organizations here and around the world have mobilized efforts to send supplies, food, water and whatever else they can provide to communities in need…
