ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — After dealing with a massive fire near the Uneeda Tire Shop on Hudson Avenue, the Rochester Fire Department are trying to look into what caused it.
According to the Rochester Fire Department, they received a report of a building fire. They saw two tractor-trailers and a pile of tires on fire. Over 40 firefighters worked to put out the blaze.
Firefighters said they saw two tractor-trailers burning. The flames extended to a storage building near the shop.
The fire resulted in a large plume of smoke. A Hyper-Reach shelter-in-place was in effect for areas impacted by the smoke. RFD’s Hazmat Unit conducted air monitoring in the surrounding neighborhoods.
No injuries were reported. Residents may remember that the Uneeda Tire Shop caught fire last December…
