Recovery All Ways honors Sister Grace while supporting people in need

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Recovery All Ways (RAW), hosted a giveaway for people in need on North Clinton Avenue in Rochester last Sunday.

The group gives away clothing, food, pet supplies, and much more every Sunday. At last Sunday’s giveaway, they also held lit candles in honor of Sister Grace Miller, who died last week at age 90. Sister Grace dedicated her life to caring for Rochester’s homeless community through her work at the House of Mercy. RAW says this is all about bringing resources directly to people who need them most.

“We just try to give the community a little respite. Some of the people are out here homeless and so we try to just love them some more, treat them with dignity, treat them with respect, and try to serve them,” one volunteer said. “We build the relationships, and then we have a lot of people here that work in different agencies that serve this community as well, so we’re able to kinda bridge that gap.”…
