ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A fourth-alarm fire ripped through a one-story industrial building on Emerson Street Friday afternoon, drawing a massive response from Rochester firefighters who remained on scene for hours.
The Rochester Fire Department said the call came in just after 3 p.m., and the first crews arrived three minutes later. They found a large volume of fire involving the building’s contents and declared a working fire.
Firefighters secured water sources and made entry under extremely limited visibility, deploying multiple large-diameter hose lines to reach the seat of the fire.
