Two out of three people convicted for their roles in a 2024 arson that claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy in Rochester have been sentenced.
The district attorney’s office says Tiakayla Hendrix took a plea deal and admitted to starting the fire at the entrance of the home. Roy Chambers admitted to helping set the fire and also accepted a plea agreement on an arson charge, according to the DA.
Court records show Hendrix was sentenced on Monday to 12 years in prison, while Chambers will serve nine.
