A former home nurse convicted of abusing a 6-year-old nonverbal boy with cerebral palsy was sentenced to probation, sparking outrage outside a Rochester courtroom, according to WHAM. Nicole Guilds, 32, lost her nursing license after jurors found her guilty of endangering the child in 2023.
Video showed Guilds slamming the boy’s head and yelling during care. Prosecutors pushed for jail time, but the judge gave her five years’ probation and a work requirement.
