Irondequoit family’s murder still echoes as brothers face court in quadruple slaying

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WROC) — Two brothers accused of killing a family of four inside their Irondequoit home returned to court Thursday, as officers described the tense moments surrounding their arrest and interrogation.

Luis Francisco Soriano and Julio Cesar Pimental-Soriano are charged with murdering the family at their Knapp Avenue home in August 2024.

Five law enforcement officers testified: a retired Irondequoit Police Department investigator who interviewed Pimental-Soriano before his arrest; a Rochester Police Department detective who responded to the hospital where Pimental-Soriano was treated for injuries after an alleged robbery; an IPD patrol officer who took him into custody at the hospital; the IPD investigator who interrogated him; and an IPD patrol officer who translated during questioning…
