Arrest in Central NY accident that killed Rochester woman

SULLIVAN, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A Syracuse man has been arrested in connection with a July accident in Central NY that killed a woman from Rochester.

On Friday, July 11, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office was called to State Route 31 in the Town of Sullivan regarding a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon their arrival, they found a jeep that had rolled over several times and three people who had been ejected from the vehicle.

Further investigation found that the driver — later identified as 21-year-old Robert Echols of Syracuse — and his two passengers were traveling eastbound on State Route 31. While traveling, the jeep exited the roadway, struck an embankment, and rolled several times before coming to a stop…
