ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Casa Larga in Fairport will be hosting a Santa Dance Party benefit on December 13. Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for baby Addi. The party will also include a live DJ, face painting, kids’ games, cookie decorating, a Diaper Dash and Toddler Trot, a Buddy the Elf reading nook, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a hot chocolate and coffee hut. The event will be held from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The event is in honor of almost 1-year-old Addi Wall. Addi’s mother, Sarah Wall, is a Rochester native who now lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband and 11-month-old twin girls. Addi and Lainee were born six weeks early and spent about a week in the hospital before coming home.
When Addi was 3 months old, she was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia which is a condition where there are no bile ducts to drain the liver. The family was informed in September that Addi needs a liver transplant and was officially placed on the list. A live donor was found, and the transplant occurred in October when Addi was 9 months old.
