Santa Stampede to benefit Child Advocacy Center

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Fleet Feet Rochester will be hosting the annual Santa Stampede in Rochester on Saturday. More than 200 people registered for the run/ walk which will begin at The Armory in Rochester on Culver Road at 10 a.m. Participants will run/walk in Santa suits to spead holiday cheer throughout Rochester neighborhoods.

Money raised at the run/walk will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester. Donations are welcomed from the general public. More than $1,100 has been raised with the goal of $2,000.

Participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped fleece blanket to donate to the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester. When the stampede is over with all of the Santas are welcome back to Fleet Feet at The Armory for further holiday cheer and festivities. The Santa Stampede has been a tradition since 2019.

“Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester (formerly Bivona) has been our beneficiary since the beginning of this event.  Their work with children is not unlike Santa, so we find it fitting to combine the two,” Ellen Brenner-Boutillier, Owner of Fleet Feet, said. “On Santa Stampede day, seeing the Santa’s jaunt along the sidewalks is a joy and smile filled event.  People cheer and honk out their vehicle windows. Those walking around always smile and laugh as we guide our way through. It’s truly a happy event.”…
