ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The House of Mercy, along with News10NBC, worked together on Friday for the Big Give drive at Innovative Field to serve those in need. Thank you all for an amazing turnout!
The drive managed to fill up five vans full of groceries.
The volunteers at the House of Mercy haven’t even found enough space for all the donations yet. Multiple pantries are housing the canned goods alone. It had room for all the perishable food in it’s freezer and fridges, too. It’s taking days to find space for all the rest.
Big Give, big impact
News10NBC’s Erin Mahon stopped by the House of Mercy on Monday and asked how long the food might last, but volunteers weren’t sure, as they didn’t have an exact count or measure of everything yet. They did note that they’re considering adding another day of the week where their community pantry opens. They’ve not yet confirmed which day.
