ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – As folks around the world continue to mourn the loss of highly regarded film director Rob Reiner, film experts in Rochester are reflecting on the ways in which Reiner changed the landscape of Hollywood over his 40+ year-career.
Film Exhibitions Curator at the George Eastman Museum’s Dryden Theatre Jared Case has seen much of Reiner’s work over the past 25 years and described him as “the mayor of Hollywood.”
“He’s the guy that everybody knows and loves,” Case said. “As the son of Carl Reiner, he was born into the Hollywood circle. But, he’s taken what he’s been given and excelled in a lot of different ways.”…
