Rochester woman gets year in prison for role in postal worker robbery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester woman who encouraged the robbery of a postal worker was sentenced Wednesday to a year in federal prison, prosecutors said.

Shyasia Kelis McCullough, 25, was convicted of aiding and abetting the June 2023 robbery of a U.S. letter carrier on Lake Avenue, according to officials.

Prosecutors said McCullough sent a text message urging co-defendant Malik Shameer McCray to carry out the crime, writing that “it 100,000 on the line” and telling him to “just go for it.”…
