ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A fire at a home on Remington Street near Ketchum Street on Thursday morning took Rochester firefighters nearly an hour to battle.
News10NBC saw at least six fire trucks and over a dozen firefighters at the scene on the city’s northside. The Rochester Fire Department says the fire started around 3:50 a.m. and spread to the roof.
Our team saw one firefighter on the roof, using an axe to cut a hole and let smoke out. RFD says it originally got reports that a person was trapped inside the home, but crews didn’t find anyone inside while searching. Firefighters had to remove boards to get inside the home…
