ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A nursing home worker from The Pearl Nursing Center in Rochester is facing jail time after she pleaded guilty to stealing more than $60,000 from a resident.
Attorney General Letitia James said a Rochester woman, Rachel Paillet, used a resident’s debit card to withdraw the funds over several months.
The Office of the Attorney General found that Paillet withdrew over $60,000 of the resident’s money in the seven-month period, from April 2023 to November 2023. She made 220 withdrawals using the resident’s card, spending the money on groceries, bills, and lottery tickets in an attempt to win back the stolen money…
