Domestic call turns into deadly shootout: Here’s what we know

A late-night domestic call exploded into gunfire that wounded three Rochester police officers and killed a suspect, according to Spectrum News. Officers rushed to a home near Chili Avenue around 10 p.m. Friday after reports of an armed ex-boyfriend trying to break in.

Police say the suspect opened fire when officers arrived, hitting two officers and the man who called 911 before fleeing on foot. A third officer chased him to Arnett Boulevard, where another exchange of gunfire erupted.

The suspect died at the scene. All three officers and the injured caller went to the hospital in stable condition, though one officer suffered serious injuries. State, county, and internal investigators are now reviewing the shooting…
