ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Local nonprofits are gearing up to serve holiday meals to those facing food insecurity.
At Cameron Community Ministries, the kitchen staff prepared a hot meal with chicken, potatoes and vegetables for visitors on Tuesday. Outside the kitchen, Kevin Connell was waiting for lunch.
“When I’ve had my own troubles and struggles, moving into adulthood, moving into my own life and financial struggles and everything like that, they’ve always filled the void for me,” Connell said. “They’ve always came through for me.”…
