A late-night shooting in Rochester that left a civilian dead and multiple officers wounded is now under investigation by the New York attorney general’s office.
Attorney General Letitia James’ Office of Special Investigation announced Dec. 24 that it has opened an investigation into the death of Eric Davis following an encounter with Rochester police on Dec. 19.
The shooting sent three officers and a civilian to the hospital. At least two of the officers were critically injured during the incident.
