Instead of staying in a hospital bed, some Monroe County patients can now recover at home, according to the University of Rochester Medical Center. The new Hospital at Home program delivers hospital-level care directly to patients’ houses.
The program builds a full care setup at home. Patients get medical equipment, round-the-clock access to a care team, daily nurse visits, and telehealth check-ins with doctors. URMC also offers transportation home, therapy services, imaging, and even meal delivery if needed…
