‘Temporary security’: St. Ann’s Community caring for five residents displaced from Hilton East emergency evacuation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Following Sunday’s overnight emergency evacuation of residents at Hilton East Living Facility, various facilities across the region are stepping up to help. St. Ann’s Community, a senior living facility located in Rochester, is taking part in aiding the 131 displaced Hilton East residents.

“It truly show like what we’re all here for and we really felt it yesterday and today,” says Kari Kuhn, Administrator for St. Ann Community.

Kuhn recalls receiving word about the emergency roof collapse and serious leaks at Hilton East around 1:30 a.m. Monday with prepared plans already in motion and a core staff of about 10 to 15 people at the ready to receive new guests…
