PARMA, N.Y. — Spencerport firefighters responded to a garage fire on Pine Hill Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters say the fire extended into a two-story single-family home. They managed to control the blaze in about 50 minutes. All residents escaped safely, and a dog was rescued from the second floor unharmed.
Due to the cold temperatures, a second alarm was called to bring additional firefighters for support. Numerous local fire companies were on scene.
