Yellow Alert: Round of snow moves through Monday morning. Clearing during the afternoon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our Threat Tracker is highlighting Monday morning with a Yellow Alert for a round of snow. Noting major, but a quick hitting inch or two will bring possible slick roads for a few hours. Weather rapidly clears during the afternoon with our Threat Tracker back to green. Just be prepared for a bit of wintry weather for a few hours Monday morning. Looking ahead to Tuesday temps warm just enough that the next system to move in will bring mainly rain showers to the region.

A January thaw is on the way to end the week. Temps will climb well into the 40s on Thursday and into the 50s on Friday. With the milder weather will come some rain to end the week and start the weekend. A large storm system will move through the Great Lakes Saturday into Sunday. This may bring some strong winds to the region as colder air returns with temperatures back into the 30s to end the weekend.
