A few days before Christmas, three officers were shot, and a suspect was killed in a domestic disturbance. According to Syracuse.com, 38-year-old Eric Davis, of Rochester, was shot and killed. Davis had an active warrant for aggravated harassment. In a story made for the “Love Kills” ROKU channel, Davis was involved in a violent confrontation with his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend on Friday, December 19, 2025. Officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at approximately 10:15 p.m. at the 600 block of Chili Avenue.
The boyfriend of Davis’ ex-girlfriend told 911 that Davis was trying to break into her home and could possibly be armed. Officers found Davis on the side of his ex’s home. He pulled out a handgun and shot at officers and the current boyfriend multiple times, hitting two officers. The boyfriend and Davis then fired shots at each other, resulting in the boyfriend being shot multiple times. Davis then fled the scene. Officers caught him near the intersection of Arnett Boulevard and Thurston Road, at which point Davis pulled his weapon out again and shot an officer.
