Rochester, N.Y. — A local non-profit helped spread compassion throughout the community.
Recovery All Ways held its winter celebration, “Light the Way,” to create a space for people from all walks of life to come together as neighbors.
“It can be really hard when we’re in active use or struggling with homelessness or mental health issues, and we have providers or people constantly being like ‘hey let’s talk about treatment,” said Stephanie Forrester, the president and founder of Recovery All Ways. “It’s really important that we just sit down and celebrate them and sit with them and enjoy each other’s company.”…
