SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A large powerful weather system slides through the Northeast today with a cold front. This will bring a cold front with a burst of cold air, strong wind, and potentially snow squalls in CNY. Then heavy lake effect snow develops for the North Country on Monday behind this weather system.
There’s already a Snow Squall Warning for parts of Western NY until 11:15am including Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, and Wyoming counties. This line of heavy snow and strong wind is moving from west to east and should reach Syracuse and CNY by midday, around noon/1pm.
