Mamitas Mexican Cuisine has opened at 1778 Penfield Road in Penfield in the former home to Guacamole Tacos & Margaritas, which closed in 2024.
Owner Mauricio Hernandez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, has owned several Mexican food establishments, including a tortilla factory. He was, for a time, a partner in the Mexican restaurant Itacate down the road, so he says he know what Penfield likes.
