ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department are seeking the public’s help in obtaining further information about a vehicle that struck a mini mart during the early morning hours Saturday in Rochester. Officers arrived to Sherwood Mini Market on Chili Avenue just after 4 a.m. and learned the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene.
According to the RPD, initial reports were that a white Buick SUV was “travelling east on Chili Avenue possibly overtaking an uninvolved car” that was also travelling east on Chili Avenue.
Officers say it’s believed the Buick lost control and ended up going off the roadway and collided into the front of the mini mart. According to the RPD, efforts to board up the location were made in conjunction with the store owners…
