At 12:41 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a snow squall warning in effect until 1:45 p.m. for Livingston and Monroe counties.
“At 12:41 p.m., a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Hamlin Beach State Park to 6 miles east of Attica, moving east at 40 mph,” according to the weather service. “Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes.”
