Gates, N.Y. (WHAM) — A woman is charged with second-degree grand larceny for stealing $140,000 from a family member, according to a criminal complaint.
Cheryl Verde, 66, of Gates stole $50,000 from the victim’s Fidelity investment account and $90,000 in cash from their home, the criminal complaint said. The thefts took place between Dec. 29, 2023 and March 9, 2025.
