Hochul unveils $20M pilot program in Monroe County for universal child care

Penfield, N.Y. — Monroe County is set to play a vital role in Gov. Kathy Hochul’s plan to create universal child care across New York State.

The county is among the regions selected to participate in a pilot extension program, which includes state funding to help expand child care options and possibly serve as a model for the entire state.
