St. Paul Street apartment fire catches fire

Rochester, N.Y. — Nobody was injured in an apartment fire downtown early Tuesday.

The Rochester Fire Department said it responded to St. Paul Street near Cumberland Street around 2:20 a.m. and found smoke billowing and water flowing from the building.

Firefighters gained entry and advanced to the involved apartment, where crews notified command that the sprinkler system had contained the bulk of the fire. An attack line was then deployed to extinguish the remaining fire…
