Churchville-Chili voters approve capital project; District says turnout was similar to other years despite snow

CHURCHVILLE, N.Y. — Voters in the Churchville-Chili Central School District have approved the seventh phase of the district’s capital project.

The funds, totaling $49,890,000, will be used for projects throughout the district, including a new grounds building for operations and maintenance staff and updates in the transportation center. The district also plans to upgrade classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, and infrastructure in the elementary schools. Voters approved the project 270 to 69 on Monday.

The project will be funded through state aid and the Capital Reserve Fund, with no impact on the local tax share. It follows the sixth phase of the project, which voters approved in 2022, focusing on middle school upgrades and athletic facilities…
