More than 180 Rochester police officers were reportedly injured on the job last year in a range of incidents that includes car crashes, direct exposure to blood or other biohazards, and gunshot wounds.
That represents about one-third of the police force. About 40 officers remain on leave or limited duty assignments due to their work-related injuries, RPD said.
