Man convicted in Lyell Ave. double murder sentenced 34 years to life

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The man who pleaded guilty to a quadruple shooting that killed two people has been sentenced to 34 years to life in prison.

29-year-old Lakwan Hannah was sentenced in court on Wednesday morning. He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder.

In May 2024, Rochester police were dispatched to Lyell Avenue and Austin Street and found two men and two women who had been shot. The two women were injured but survived, but 29-year-old Jared Perry and 31-year-old Marquis Chambers were pronounced dead at the scene…
