Rochester, N.Y. — Unattended cooking caused a fire Wednesday afternoon at a high-rise apartment building in the city’s South Wedge neighborhood, according to the Rochester Fire Department.
Fire crews responded around 12:45 p.m. to E.L. Tower on South Avenue, where heavy smoke was found in a hallway, the fire department said.
