Rt. 250 bridge renovation project completed in Fairport

FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — The bridge replacement project on State Route 250 in Fairport has been completed.

The $3.4 million project paused traffic in the North Main Street area on April 11 of last year. At the time, officials said they planned for the construction to take four months. The roadway was reopened on Nov. 7.

“With dozens of thriving Main Street businesses plus active residents who love the charm and ease of their village lifestyle, Fairport is a jewel of the Finger Lakes region,” NYSDOT Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez said in a statement. “This bridge replacement project along State Route 250 in the heart of this picturesque village has paved the way for a safer and more vibrant community and provided protection for the Thomas Creek watershed and wetlands.”…
