Project to replicate local Tuskegee airman’s plane

BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — Nicknamed “Sticks,” Leland Pennington was a star athlete for Monroe High School before he started training at Tuskegee Army Airfield in 1943.

He married in 1944 then headed off to Europe to defend the free world.
