Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — On the day she was slated to go on trial, a woman whose 7-year-old son was hit by a U-Haul truck and killed on the Fourth of July in 2024 reached a guilty plea.
Cyonna Badger was using public transportation to take her kids to visit their father for the holiday when her son Hakeem darted across West Ridge Road in Greece against a green light and was struck, according to police. He later died from his injuries.
Badger, now 28, was later indicted by a grand jury on charges of criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child…
