Greece mom pleads guilty in son’s U-Haul death, faces probation

GREECE, N.Y. — A mother pleaded guilty on Monday to criminally negligent homicide in the case involving the death of her 7-year-old son, Hakeem. He died in 2024 after being hit by a U-Haul truck.

The mother, Cyonna Badger, will serve one year of interim probation, officials said.

In July 2024, Badger was crossing West Ridge Road with multiple children against a green light when Hakeem was hit. He died nearly two weeks later.
