At 1:03 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released a cold weather advisory valid from Saturday 1 a.m. until Sunday 10 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Erie and Genesee counties.
The weather service describes, “Bitterly cold wind chills between 15 and 24 degrees below zero expected. The coldest wind chills are expected to be late tonight into Saturday morning.”
