ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The family of a man who died weeks after falling and hitting his head at a Greece pub says they are still struggling to process what happened, as police allege bar staff gave investigators false information about the incident.
Greece Police say 68-year-old John Acito was injured Dec. 17 at Dave’s Long Pond Pub. Officers were called after a 911 report of an unresponsive man found in the parking lot.

According to investigators, staff told police they discovered Acito unconscious outside and brought him into the building. However, detectives say surveillance video later contradicted that account.
Police say footage showed Acito drinking past the legal cutoff time for alcohol service before falling and striking his head on the floor and a table inside the bar. Investigators say employees moved him toward the front door and put his jacket on him before calling for help, delaying the 911 call by about 30 to 40 minutes…
