Chicken restaurant chain plans to open first Upstate NY location

A popular chicken restaurant chain is planning to open its first location in Upstate New York.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has proposed a new restaurant built in Minotti Crossings Plaza along Jefferson Road in Henrietta, N.Y., according to WROC. It would be located between Shake Shack and Panera Bread, about 5 miles outside of Rochester and 80 miles west of Syracuse.

Town Supervisor Steve Schultz told the WROC that the Henrietta Town Board approved a resolution last week to oversee an environmental review of the proposed Raising Cane’s at 823 Jefferson Road. Schultz confirmed the company sent a letter of intent and would file a formal application by Wednesday…
