RPD: Suspect breaks windows, fires into Seneca Ave house

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Gunfire at a house on Seneca Avenue has resulted in a man’s arrest.

Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, a home on Seneca Avenue was struck by gunfire. According to the Rochester Police Department, the suspect went over to the victim’s house, broke out multiple windows, and fired a shot into the house. The home was occupied by two adults who were not injured.

Investigators determined the suspect drove away in a black Ford Explorer. They said the vehicle was stopped on Herald Street, and 38-year-old Damien Sawyer was taken into custody. Police said he was in possession of a firearm, despite previous convictions…
